Mojang Seemingly Leaked Minecraft's Next Biome & Mob, & Fan Theories Already Look Spot On

The next Minecraft update already looks to make good on some fan theories, thanks to a supposed leak from Mojang itself. Minecraft fans have been eagerly awaiting news on what's coming next to the game, leading to lots of online speculation.

For a brief moment earlier this week, the game's website posted details about the upcoming update before quickly removing them. The supposed leak included a new biome called the Pale Garden and a hostile mob called the Creaking. Though it was quickly taken down, eagle-eyed fans managed to snap screenshots.

A snapshot of the page, shared by Reddit user aCactusOfManyNames, seems to also note a new "immersive experience," Villager Rescue. Though the webpage was taken down before players could discern all the latest update details, it confirms that the next update will be called the "Bundles of Bravery" update. Fans are already weighing in on what the Pale Garden and this new mob could entail, and based on the clues from Mojang, they may just be right.

What This Leak Means For The Next Update

Fans Speculate About A New End Biome

Though the information about the Pale Garden biome is still pretty sparse, fan theories have already started rolling in about what it could entail. Some players speculate it'll be a particularly rare biome (which has been standard of the new biomes added in recent updates), or that it'll be a new end biome. Mojang has already hinted that the new update will introduce white wood, based on a tweet from Minecraft following the accidental leaks.

The tweet also seemed to hint that whatever the Creaking is, it will most likely be a hostile mob. Next to the words, "Hostile??" written in red ink, there's a particularly dark image printout image that just might be of the new mob, though the details are hard to make out. In the comment section of the Reddit thread, players speculate that the new mob will be sound-based, suggesting fans might have to use their other senses to detect the mob instead of hunting it down by sight.

Our Take On The New Minecraft Update

It's Time For A New End Biome

The teasers for the Bundles of Bravery update imply that whatever is coming in Minecraft's future may be a particularly spooky addition. The End biome is a particularly barren and creepy environment as it is, and it's been a while since an alternate option has been introduced to the game.

There are already 64 different biome options in Minecraft, and though adding yet another particularly rare biome would be a bit frustrating to many players, it'd be just one more secret for fans to scout for on their newest playthrough.

At the very least, the newly teased white wood and white leaves will definitely be of use to players, many of whom are often looking for creative new additions for their next build. Whether or not the Creaking will make venturing to this new biome worth it remains to be seen, though.

Details on the newest Minecraft update will officially release during the Minecraft Live 2024 event on Sept. 28. The livestream will take place on the game's YouTube channel at 1 p.m. EST - and those looking for details about the upcoming Minecraft movie will also get their fill during the stream.

From the General's Desk...

I was first alerted to these Mojang leaks by ibxtoycat on YouTube, and then again by ECKOSOLDIER. I was a little suspicious of these reports at first, I have to admit. Perhaps it was just the stew I had finished eating. Either way, I was surprised that Mojang had not squashed and silenced those two content creators (and many other afterwards) for propelling the leaks forward. Perhaps Mojang figured it was way too late to effectively contain the damage at that point. After all... The internet is the internet. It would be everywhere at that point. Needless to say, I became very interested and excited when the effects of my stew wore off. And then to see what it was exactly was being leaked just got me really hyped. I mean, who would not be down for a new biome anywhere at any time? And another hostile mob too?! I am that sort of Minecraft player that dreams and wishes, and prays for Mojang to make Minecraft more challenging than it already is. AND, I hope the same that they start focusing more on fantastic mobs, rather than natural ones.

Then there was that big speculative tie-in the laks were seemingly pointing too:

END UPDATE!!!

I mean... enough said there. Who on God's good Overworld has not been to every temple, both jungle and desert, seeking out the Mojang gods to bring us an End Update?

(I will admit to NOTHING!)

Anyways...it is still all speculating at this point really. But I am getting a really good feeling about what's to come in the next chapter for Minecraft. How about you?

Thank you for reading. What are your thoughts?
